Product Communication and Technical Representation at SolidCAM
Overview
At SolidCAM, I became a customer-facing representative for complex manufacturing software, helping explain products, updates, and workflows in a way users could actually follow. My role included launch support, trade shows, international coordination, and translating technical features into clear product communication.
What I did
Represented SolidCAM in launches and updates
Supported the international launch of Solid Shop by translating the platform’s shop-floor workflow, and developing localized launch materials for global teams, including a full rollout in Brazil.
Supported SolidCAM at trade shows by presenting the software, answering questions, and speaking with prospects about how it could fit into their workflow.
Why It Mattered
This work helped make complex manufacturing software easier to understand across launches, updates, and international teams. Since the software directly supports real machines, it also gave me a better feel for how shops actually run, what customers need, and how to position a technical product so it makes sense in their world.
